Health Care Soundproofing
Noise control and soundproofing for hospitals and clinics can help patients and employees alike.
Medical Facility Soundproofing
Creating noise free Medical office environments that are adequately soundproofed to assure privacy.
Speech in examination rooms must be clearly heard by doctors, nurses and other professionals, but it is also important that conversations remain private to avoid being overheard in adjoining rooms or other surrounding areas. This requires that walls have adequate acoustic treatment in order to meet these requirements. Retrofitting offices with improved acoustic materials is frequently requested, and in most cases this work can be performed with minimal interruption of normal office activities.
Working offices for medical professionals should also have a quiet, comfortable environment, and should also be adequately soundproofed to assure privacy. Where it is not practical or affordable to install acoustic materials, noise masking systems are available to cover unwanted background noise with a pleasant ‘waterfall’ sound.
Specialty areas, such as neo-natal intensive care, hospice care, and post-surgery rooms often must have minimal noise background levels; in some instances, state regulations may specify maximum allowable noise limits for these types of facilities. Meeting these requirements may mandate modifications to HVAC systems, plumbing, and other infrastructure elements, as well as acoustically insulating outside walls and windows.
Medical waiting rooms should not be noisy or reverberant. In addition, a pleasant aesthetic should be maintained to provide a calming atmosphere. We offer a wide variety of visually-appealing sound control panels and baffles to fit any environment.
