A combination of acoustic curtains, sound-absorbing panels and overhead ceiling treatments are used in this studio to produce a well-balanced acoustic environment for playback and post-production mixing and equalization work.

This playback and mixing facility uses attractive sound panels to reduce acoustic reflections from wall and ceiling surfaces, resulting in a cleaner sound quality and serves to reduce harsh high-frequency sound content due to the undesirable effects of an overly ‘lively’ room. These panels are available in a wide variety of colors and designs.

Bass Traps are installed in strategic locations throughout the room to reduce the presence of standing waves. These products control the effects of ‘booming’ bass or resonances that will cause distortion or undesirable sound quality in recordings. Traps are produced in a variety of configurations and designs to fit virtually any room. We utilize empirical room testing methods to optimize the selection of optimal design and placement of traps.

In addition to the use of acoustic panels within the studio, MEMTECH ACOUSTICAL can provide noise-blocking materials which are installed behind the visible surfaces to reduce the transmission of external noises into the room. This provides a much quieter and improved recording environment. These materials are Class A fire rated and are very effective in reducing unwanted noise from entering the studio.
