We determine optimum noise-control solutions by considering the noise contributions and characteristics of individual sources, as well as the effects of physical location, nearby buildings and the surrounding terrain. When this information is integrated into a predictive computer model, we can determine areas of concern and optimize a cost-effective design for your needs. We utilize advanced software packages for this purpose to provide local and distant sound levels which can then provide an accurate estimation of noise levels throughout the community. A desired ‘target’ level of noise at the surrounding locations should be determined beforehand to assure that the necessary requirements are met. This may simply be determined by assuring compliance with noise ordinance requirements of the city or county, or may involve minimizing subjective noise annoyance levels for local residents.

Noise Barrier Walls are commonly used as a permanent solution to block noise from plants, freeways and other sources. Many wall configurations are available, including concrete, aluminum, vinyl and ‘curtain’ walls. These walls have different performance characteristics, which must be considered in the design, along with the sound pressure level and frequency content of the noise source(s).
